Here’s an iPhone 8 Plus where WiFi doesn’t work. The toggle button is grayed out. Also, in the control center, the WiFi button is grayed out as well.
My assumption is that this requires jumpers, rather than just replacing the IC, because once you remove the screws holding down the logic board, WiFi starts working again.
In this video, I’ll pull the WiFi IC (which is underfilled), reball it, run jumpers for the broken traces using the REFOX Soldering Lug, place WiFI back on the board & then doing the final testing.
